Motel of Lost Dreams

Off of the Westside Highway stands a gigantic billboard. Most motorists wouldn't notice that underneath the billboard is an abandoned motel acting as a pedestal. Was this purpose unexpected? One wonders if this motel, when it first started, ever held promise as a thriving business venture. There must have been a dream to make money by placing such an establishment right off the highway. It was empty when I took this photo. The windows were like black, wide-open eye sockets in a skull.
